I stayed up until midnight last night and finished my journal slipcover for the Remains of the Day online class that I'm taking from Mary Ann Moss. The class is easy to follow with a whole bunch of detailed videos for each step of the way; it's well worth the price. For the slipcover I chose colors and styles that felt like Italy and Spain (I'll be using this as a travel journal during my trip there next month).
The next step will be putting together the signatures. I plan to use some authentic vintage Italian and Spanish book/dictionary/art/map pages from my stash as well as some neat vintage ads that I've found on etsy. So far I like how it's turning out! And since I will not have much free time on this whirlwind trip, all I'll need is a glue stick to attach post cards, photos, and other ephemera to the pages while I'm riding on the bus/fairy/high speed train/airplane. The journal will be finished before I return home. I can't wait!
